El Salvador's homicide rate is a human rights crisis!

El Salvador has the highest homicide rate not just in Latin America, but the second highest in the world. This is a human rights crisis. El Salvador has a murder epidemic. It needs the help of the international community.

12 year olds with their heads chopped off.
$50 to have someone killed. $100 is you want to see the body.
Gun shops are in every neighborhood (the guns are from the USA).
Drug cartels are starting to operate all throughout El Salvador and with their $$ and influence, the violence will get worse.

The Israeli delegation recognizes that this is a serious issue in America, and this should be solved as soon as possible, but what I can see is that the problem is in the boarders and also in the police! You should consider those points in your resolution delgate!

Adding to the fact that Mexican drugs cartels are starting to operate through ElSalvador, which only increases the violence and destabilizes the region through lawlessness.

Examples of crimes that occured in El Salvador:
In June 21st 2010, occurred a bus attack in San Salvador that killed two children and one adult and as the police suspected gang members carried out the attack.

EL Salvador's murder rate is just growing!!! In August 15, 2010 a six years old girl Marlene Alejandra Galdamez was murdered in her way to school by gang-related people in an area of the country relatively untouched by the gangs violent attacks that spread fear and shocked the community.

"SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador -- Drug cartel violence in Mexico is quickly spilling south into Central America and is threatening to destabilize fragile countries already rife with crime and corruption, according to the United Nations, U.S. officials and regional law-enforcement agents"

El Salvador’s recorded about 3,928 murders in 2006 and this numbers don't stop. Every year this numbers grow and just in the beginning of the year between January and February, El Salvador has recorded the total of 552 murders.

The delegate of Bolivia is extremely concerned by the increasing homicide rates in El Salvador, and agrees that measures should immediately be taken to address this issue, such as the increasing of security in the country's border.
