Hello delegates! Welcome to the Salvador Model United Nations 2010 Security Council! I am Lucas Bezerra and will be your chair together with Natalia Coelho (but I'll let her introduce herself Very Happy).

I hope that all of you make the most of this MUN experience, providing the committee with excelent debates and thorough resolutions. Keep in mind that this forum exists for you to formulate and debate ideas regarding issues before the date of the actual MUN. However, please also remember to always respect other delegates, and refrain from derisive or insulting comments.

Please do not hesitate to come to me with any questions, doubts or comments. I won't always be able to check the forum, so if you want a quicker answer send it to my e-mail (lvsb94@hotmail.com) or talk to me during school.

Good luck delegates!
Lucas Bezerra

Hello Delegates! Welcome to SALMUN and the Security Council! I will be your Chair this year together with Lucas Bezerra and I am really looking forward to a successful conference.

As Lucas said, this forum was created for specific purposes, so use this wisely and to your advantage. Posts should be appropriate and respect other delegates. I hope this year's Security Council will be the best ever seen. I will always be available for when you need me and for question you may have. You can also reach in my e-mail ncoelho02@gmail.com or personally at school.

Remember that you have been chosen to the Security Council and because of that I have high expectations for all of you!

Lets leave this topic for all delegates to introduce themselves briefly!

the best of luck!

Natalia

Hello delegates!

My name is Julia and I'll be representing Brazil in the Security Council this year. I'm hopeful for interesting and polemic debates and I'm sure that we'll be able to make this the best Security Council that Salmun has ever had. Also be sure to hear a lot from me when it comes to the topic of internationalization of the Amazon, you all must have a clear idea on where Brazil stands on this!

Good Luck! Very Happy

I am Rafael Knittel and together with my partner Thiago Vecchi I represent the People's Republic of China in the Asian Caucus.
The delegate of China is here to offer help to all delegates facing any problems throughout this MUN, in hopes of having
a pleasurable, but insightful experience.

Best of lucks,
The delegate of China.

Hello diplomats,

It’s a pleasure to be in the Security Council this year, my name is Rodrigo Oliveira and I will be representing Japan. We should all be looking forward to a fruitful and clever debate with supportive resolutions to the world’s worst issues regarding humanitarian peace and security. Remembering that, we delegates make up this council with our knowledge, participation and dedication, which will determine how the SALMUN 2010 Security Council will be present.

Best of luck, Rodrigo

Hello Chairs and fellow delegates,

I will be the Sudanese delegate in the Security Council of this year's SALMUN. My name is Rafael Lessa and I am from the American School of Recife. I look forward in representing my country's position faithfully. The Sudanese delegate will be focusing mainly on the question of Nuclear Proliferation in the Middle East, but will also participate consistently when debating other issues, since the main purpose of the United Nations' Security Council is to maintain International Security, and that requires that all Member States composing this important council should participate in debating all issues.

Respectfully,

Delegate of Sudan
